I assume I saw the idea here somewhere, but I've always loved the idea of throwing a fake extension cord end under the car where the tailpipe would normally be for ICEs.

My wife was mowing on Saturday and had a wee incident navigating the extension cord for the electric mower. Thankfully she was using the wrong [lightweight] cord and only chopped up a cheap one, instead of the $100 cord the mower should've been hooked up to. But now I have the end I was wanting and got it attached to the car last night.

So far one person at work has come to inform me of a hanging extension cord... ;)

Great minds think alike... :)

FFE alternative to having a tailpipe

I was in line somewhere (in my car) and the guy behind actually got out and came up to my window and said, "do you know your plug is hanging out". I laughed and told him it was fake, and a joke. Someone also pulled up next to me in traffic once, motioned to roll down my window, and we basically had the same exchange. Hahah...

Yes, you need the cordless mower. I've had this one for four seasons:

Problem with some cordless mowers (especially the ones that use lead acid) is that they are very heavy.

I also have a cordless mower (more on that here: http://jamiegeek.myevblog.com/2014/06/06/electric-everything/) specifically this one:

I don't MAKE her mow, she just feels like it needs it more often than every 6 months. ;-)

Corded/cordless: at the time I needed a mower, cordless wasn't doable. Too, having to get a heavy duty extension cord to run it was a win/win, for emergency charging the FFE.
