For a 2014 FFE Oxford white with cloth seats, the new MSRP sales price is about $300 less than the sale price I got offered which included an extra nearly $3000 dealer discount, 3 weeks ago.
Probably with this lowered Ford MSRP price, the dealers will at least right now probably not add much discount below that?
My deal was a 3 year lease, so I don't think they can alter the lease terms even within the first 30 days?
Or can Ford just send me a check/credit due to the lowered MSRP - is that possible with a lease thru Ford?
You say contact Ford directly (not the dealer)? How would one do that exactly and what department/contact person?

Then click on "Search Dealer Inventory" and enter your zipcode.
The nearest local FFE dealer's inventory with the new prices should show up and you can change the dealer or click on one of the cars and a detailed pricing page including a link to the window sticker for that particular car.

I see that not all dealer websites and sites like TruCar have updated to the new MSRP pricing yet.
Only the main Ford website is set for the new pricing so far.
I would suspect local dealer discounts will not be as much as last month, so the best deals ever on new FFEs may be possible in December (end of the quarter) with the new MSRP pricing established and dealers willing to give bigger discounts for end of the quarter sales.

Agreed, but isn't the price of the e-Golf much higher? I don't think you're going to be able to get one for $199 a month like the Focus.Bloggin said:

Just bought a white with cloth seat ffe today. Was originally going to wait until the end of the year, but jumped in today after hearing about the drop. MSRP was 30k, used Costco purchase which was 800 below invoice for this month. 28 k purchase price, add in taxes, doc, etc. with 4 k rebate. On the hook for a little over 26k which is financed for 60 months at 0% interest. I'm more than satisfied especially after I get my 10k federal and state rebate. So around 16 k after all taxes and rebates make the focus electric cheaper than the base gas focus. Who would have thought that possible after the original msrp was set for the 2012 ffe.

When I pulled up Google News this morning the story is in the "Top News" section. Apparently Ford is making some waves with this price cut.

Strange that Ford would drop the price so much at this time of year.
I would think they would at least wait until the new 2015 models are available after the start of the new year?
Will Ford drop the MSRP pricing of any other models (like the Fusion and Cmax Energi) as well too?

The only thing that makes sense to me is that they're using the price drop to try to wring out sales of the last of the dealer inventory in the next 60 days or so.
I suspect Ford's website is configured to offer different prices for different regions. In my ZIP code in Seattle, the list price is still $35,070.
Also in my ZIP code, Ford's website shows a $4000 incentive for sales (down from $6000), and the lease deal has ricocheted around with different due-at-signing and per-month values. Right now they want 10% at signing (up from 6% last week) and $272 a month, with a $9000 incentive (down from $12,500 last month).
So for the Pacific Northwest, the price is going up ! Ford of Kirkland is calling the Focus Electric "Hard to Find" and listing them at $40,105.

Sorry but this statement is false. Ford lowered the MSRP $6K for the remaining unsold 2014 model year inventory as well, NOT the dealers. I suppose an unscrupulous dealer could lie and state otherwise. Picking up a black one today for $29,239.88 out the door including Hawaii's GE tax. It has the leather seat upgrade which I didn't want but didn't have a choice. I didn't want black but the other model was silver and it has a "rental car" look. Selling my iMiev today as well so swapping out a 2012 EV for a 2014. Look forward to learning more from you guys.
