We all know high temperatures can degrade battery capacity. As the summer approaches, my shady parking spot on the North side of the building has become a sunny hot location for much of the day.

I'm looking into reflective car covers...they claim to keep the interior of the car much cooler. I'm less worries about the front, more worried about the rear which houses the battery. My reasoning is that if I can keep the interior cooler and reflect heat from the rear hatch, things should be improved.

I've found two so far..

The Cool Cap looks good, but is expensive $139

The smartcover is similar, much cheaper at $39, and available from Amazon as well

What do you guys think? Worth a try?
