Dealer sold 3rd party service warranty purchase advice

Sun Nov 18, 2018 6:14 pm

Need advice about anyone having a good experience with a 3rd party service warranty on the FFE. Just bought an 18 month old car, and trying to figure out if the included warranties are enough. Original 3 yr/36K B to B, and the Certified Pre-Owned additional warranties included in purchasing a Ford CPO car from a Ford dealer.

Please see my post in the owners main forum.

Thanks,

Jaden

Well, I finally read enough of the 3rd party service contract exclusions to find my answer.

And it's, HELL NO!!!

And now I am fairly upset.

Upon fine print reading I came across line #34 in the 'What this service contract does NOT cover' section.

'If your vehicle is powered entirely by a fuel source other than gasoline or diesel fuel'.

Utter, disgusting thieves, these folks. Tried to sell me an expensive service contract that could not ever be used at all.

Yep most 3rd party warranties are worthless. Glad you verified before getting taken.
