Leased a 2017 Ford Focus EV. Leather interior. I think it was an ok deal could have been better but here is the summary for reference.

2017 Ford Focus EV
$2,000 down
$239/month (out the door taxes, etc first invoice is $239.49). 15k Miles 36month lease. Dealer obviously gets the $7,500 federal tax credit which was passed onto me by buying down the lease. I do get the $2,500 state credit and $450 So cal Edison rebate. I charge up at work for free. I do not plug in at home at all.

FYI - for the future, Never EVER put money down on a lease.

Just curious, what was the sales price of the car?

Congrats on your new car!!!

Yes that’s why I said ok lease I could have done better but that was my first lease ever. I looked around and that was the best deal they had at the time. The very best deal the dealer claimed the car was already sold (different dealer) and Volkswagen E-golf they would not get me under $359 per month hence why I went with the Focus EV. MSRP listed was $31,075. They had a rebate $3,350 and a dealer discount of $1,363= net cost 26,362. I believe the residual was almost $9,000. I’ll check my paperwork and update the numbers.

That's about the deal I'm looking for as well. Nice price.

What were your actual out the door costs? I see you put $2000 down. Did you also have to pay the $875 destination fee and first month's payment of $239 on top of the $2000?

It was through the Ford Red carpet lease program. All I gave was 2,000 down and I signed and drove off. First invoice came in at $239 as agreed upon. If they charged the things you listed I guess they took it off the downpayment or found another way to bring it down.

My reservation for Model 3 came up, but could not swing payment and insurance. My lease was up on 2015 FFE. Antelope Valley Ford had an ad for a 2017 FFE with leather for $22,002 with the $3,000 Ford purchase rebate ($25,002 for 9.5% sales tax). I asked for a lease comparison. They came back with an offer of $180.41 for 35 months and ZERO down including the first lease payment. Residual value would be $7,917. Total out of pocket cost would be $14,231 to purchase in three years. My wife and I went for the lease since cheaper than purchase. First, looking into Ford extended service 8 yr/100,000 m. Second, 33.5 kWh battery is a blessing - go two weeks between charges. Third, CD player, buttons and a dashboard- over 750 CDs. Listen to a CD most of the time! Base Model 3 will be purchased when Honda Clarity EV lease up in two years, but wife says Honda or Ford might have something to offer by then.

2017 Honda Clarity EV
2017 Chevrolet Impala

PS Cost was $20315 + $645 = $20960. WOW! (Extra $1,000 for lease)
Downpayment was $7,500 (Federal Rebate) + $1,750 (Ford re-lease cash rebate) for a total of $9,250.
Not a Tesla for $50,000, but FFE for $14,231 out of my pocket!

THANKS, will consider that as possibility — maybe wife will drive after two years. She drives more miles.

As a comparison for you, I got the Ford extended warranty (8yr/48k miles) with $0 deductible, and 1st day rental for $740. Double check your mileage needs. If you're going 2 weeks without a charge, I doubt you'll blow thru 100k miles in 8 years.
