Wonder if this is going to be available for the 2015 tax year.

Mind the AMT! The $7500 credit for the vehicle purchase is not affected by the AMT, but the EVSE credit is.

I tried to use that tax credit for installation of EVSE (Oct 2014) on my 2014 Federal Taxes, but the IRS sent me a letter claiming it didn't apply, I don't know why. So I had to send them a check for over $100 anyway.

That's weird. You attached form 8911, filled-out correctly, and they denied the credit?

Yep and it was all done with the IRS online free-file service which did all the calculations, yet they claimed in the letter a math error. I rechecked it but couldn't find any error, but its too hard to get thru on the phones so I just paid the $100 or so.
