The car was shown at the Petersen Museum alongside the The all-new Focus Electric, Ford's first-ever all-electric passenger car - gasoline-free vehicle that will be available in North America and Europe.

Jay Leno called the Ford Focus Electric the best thing to come out of his failed TV show. He was donated 2 prototypes of the Ford Focus Electric to use in his show, in a segment called Green Car Challenge where celebrities drove the car around a course competing for the fastest times. Apparently Dr. Phil had a faster time in the Focus EV than all of his other competitors.

The Ford Focus Electric will now be the featured vehicle in the museum's permanent Alternative Power exhibit.

What's the future of electric cars? Leno has an idea...
