Still only "months" away and still only prototypes (albeit velcro and tape as well... see below) ... another opportunity to clarify direction lost. I have a daily Google search for news on the new C-Max as I've all but given up on the Focus EV; and this from Ford's home state. Again, if you're not ready just say so as well as say why otherwise you lose credibility ...

"One of the vehicle handlers even scolded students and media not to touch what turned out to be a fake door to a charging port because they were messing up the Velcro and tape holding it in place."

Sooo glad I still have my Leaf reserve. I was going to cancel it in hopes of getting a FFE but this is BS on Ford's part.

I agree that the longer Ford waits, the more likely it is that people will look to other electric vehicles or plug in hybrids like the Toyota Prius or Mitsubishi i-Miev instead of the Ford Focus Electric.

In order to win back market share, Ford will have to price the Ford Focus Electric lower or have some super specs on electric range or something.

Nissan had some Leafs on tour months and months ahead of when they actually started delivering, and yet a month or two ahead of when the Ford Focus Electric is supposed to be available, we're still seeing mocked up gasoline - I think it's wait to close to the launch of the 2012 Ford Focus Electric for Ford to not have any built yet. I think they've already got some, they are just keeping a tight lid on it.

Mind you, if launch is that soon, one could also expect that Ford would start doing Ford Focus Electric commercials etc to get the word out to the general public about the Ford Focus Electric?
