2012 Ford Focus Electric Test Drives

The 2012 Ford Focus Electric will be available sometime late this year - so no one yet has test driven one. Unless of course you count the early prototype that Jay Leno had celebrities drive on his show, but that was an older Ford Focus retrofitted with electronic drivetrain.

The 2012 Ford Focus is an all new redesign, headed back to it's European roots as a sporty yet sophisticated sedan. The gasoline version of the Ford Focus is already available, and test drives have been nothing short of stunning. The sharp handling and enhanced ride has reviewers around the globe praising the 2012 Ford Focus. From it's electric pwoer steering to it's lack of body roll in corners, the Ford Focus has all the european sporty-ness one would ever need out on public roads.

The luxury of having the Ford Focus Electric being built on the same platform as the gasoline powered Ford Focus means that we can get a glimpse, and even a hands on test drive, as to most of the features and luxuries that the Ford Focus Electric will have when it rolls off the assembly line.

I expect the Focus EV to handle even better than the gas model due in part to better weight distribution (no heavy gas motor in the front)
