The new Ford Focus has received the highest possible crash rating - 5 stars. This continues the safety record of the previous generation of Ford's best selling family car.
The 2012 Ford Focus has an impressive crash structure, as well as driver, passenger, front side, front and rear curtain airbags (which make me think of a car stuffed full of marshmallows flipping down a hill). The Ford Focus is also available with Active City Stop and Lane Keeping aid for those who trust a computer to help them stay on target and watch for stopped traffic ahead.
Let's hope the Ford Focus Electric vehicle can maintain that safety rating even with a lighter front end and haavy batteries dispersed throughout the chassis.
