Ford will use the renewable energy to produce Focus Focus electric and Ford Focus gasoline models, as well as other hybrids.

Ford hired Xtreme to build a 750-kilowatt energy facility that can store two million watt-hours. That's enough power for 100 homes for a year - now that's a battery!
Xtreme is also involved in a non-Ford related project to build the biggest battery of it's kind to store energy from the 53 megawatt wind farm it's located near.

Xtreme, founded in 2004, develops batteries, electronics and control systems comprising hardware and software. It employs about 100 workers.
