FFE won’t update ownership in MyFord mobile

Hey guys hoping someone here can help me my wife and I just bought a 2014 FFE And when I try to take ownership of the vehicle in the MyFord Mobile app and follow the reset it still gives the same error message. When I called Ford they said it needed a firmware update and to take it to a dealership wouldn’t give me a price so I was hoping this is something I can fix myself. Any advice?

I think that I had to do it on my computer at myfordmobile.com first when I bought my used FFE. It took several tries.

And then the app will be a disappointment.

Fixed... trunk fuse pulled and replaced
