The Ford Focus uses an electronic key systems. Key need to be programmed into the cars electronic system to allow the car to recognize it as a valid. Normally when you buy a new FFE two administrative keys will have been programmed into the car. But how do you tell the number of keys have been programmed into the car? This becomes an issue if you buy a used car.
Using the left side screen select “Information” then press OK.
Then select “MyKey” then press OK.
