This was discussed in an earlier post - how to have windows open and close from the key fob on US vehicles that aren't set that way from Ford.

Previously it required using a windows app called FoCCCus, but that hasn't been updated in a bit and doesn't work with 2017+ models (and possibly 2016).

However the ForScan app for Windows can do it now and works across all years. There is still some trickery, you need a Bluetooth OBDII adapter, you need to register for the forscan forum and get an extended license key (free). But it worked well for me and had no errors.

Here is the forum post with the instructions:

Here is my video with the results:

If you don't want to bother with all of that, it seems many people have had luck simply asking their dealer to enable the option through their diagnostic software. It's called Global Open/Close.

does it work from more than 10 feet away? I find this feature pretty useless since by the time the windows open I can simply open the door and use the controls on the door to open all windows.

I like that I can open and close the Windows with my key fob on my car. I like American cars because it is an option on all American cars, even if a European auto concern created it. In Europe, you rarely meet someone that has this function. It is extremely comfortable because sometimes you can forget to close your windows in the car and go away, and the car closes the windows for you. Another great things about the windows are the shades. I bought mine from https://snapshades.com.au/, and they very well protect me from the sun.

I don't think it was ever offered. At least not in the USA. IIRC it is enabled by editing the asbuilts with FoCCCus.

Once enabled, when you press and hold the lock button the car will lock and after a small delay all the windows will go up. To open the windows with your fob, press unlock and then press and hold unlock. After a short delay all windows will go down. I thought I had posted a how to on here years ago. Yep, found it here: https://www.myfocuselectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3803

The range at which it works can vary greatly. I have had instances where it didn't work until I had already walked up to the car and was standing next to it.

I need to see about borrowing a wifi OBD. Programming configs over Bluetooth is super sketchy and I have others I'd want to do if I'm digging into it.

Being in Arizona it would be incredibly useful to drop the windows after a remote start to get some of that hot air out and give the AC bit of a head start.
