Thanks again for the very informative replies.

All my cost are CDN, and everything is more expensive here. Could be worse, could be Europe! We just deal with it.

I am eligible for $1000 rebate from the government, but as mentioned, only hard wired and installed by a certified electrician qualify. I must have mentioned the wrong model, because the one I'm getting qualifies for the rebate.

Sorry, my mistake. I did a search for it and the link I clicked on gave info for the plug-in version. There is apparently a hardwired version as well.
