Georgia Tax Credit Question

Potential FFE buyer here.

As some of you may have heard a Georgia Congressman (or Senator) has proposed to end the $5000 state tax credit
for electric cars as early as April 1st. I assume that if you purchase the car before the official end you are grandfathered
in and will still receive the credit when you file taxes the following year. But that is a big assumption and i was curious
if anyone knew for sure. It would be very comforting to see it in writing but i have been unable to find that with some
google searching.

The way that I understand it is that anything purchased/leased before April would receive the credit. I am really surprised it lasted this long without someone targeting it for elimination.
