If you were in the Bay Area, please join us for an EV owner meet on Saturday morning, March 15. The gathering will be hosted by the AltCar Expo at the Craneway Pavilion at 1414 Harbour Way South in Richmond, CA. The Expo has built a good reputation in Southern California, and is expanding to the Bay Area this year. Refreshments will be served courtesy of Whole Foods Market Berkeley. Ride & drives will be offered throughout the day. Please use Evenbrite to RSVP so that we can order the right amount of food.
Charging will be available onsite, and we will do our best to help coordinate carpooling opportunities and other logistics.
Couple of notes regarding EV charging at the venue: there are six ChargePoint stations with eight J1772 plugs, which will be available to attendees. i-MiEV and Nissan LEAF drivers with a QC port should be able to quick charge at the venue or at a commercial CHAdeMO station nearby. Hanlees Nissan at 3277 Auto Plaza in Richmond is 9 miles north of the venue. The dealership has agreed to allow attendees to charge up. The eVgo station at 5959 Shellmound in Emeryville will be unlocked on Saturday all day, and will provide drivers a free quick charge without an RFID card. This CHAdeMO station is 9 miles south of the venue.
