I was looking at some of the first approved California electric vehicles and saw that in 1991 they documented the Solectria Force. I looked the concept car up and it is pretty cool how they just converted an old GEO metro:

The most interesting fact that turned up I think was that New Jersey was a huge supporter of these cars. Now 20 years later New Jersey is 1 of the first states to release the Ford Focus electric. Talk about the focus EV and New Jersey's environmental efforts coming full circle!
