Earlier this year, Ford introduced the Ford Evos plug-in hybrid concept at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show.

The Ford Evos will make its first North American appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2012. The Evos is powered by the same lithium-ion based plug-in powertrain that the Ford C-max Energi will have, and the Evos should be able to deliver the same sort of fuel economy as the Ford C-max Energi.

The C-max Energi is different than the Ford Focus Electric - the Ford Focus Electric is a full electric vehicle, meaning that when the battery goes dead you stop. The Ford C-max Energi is a plug in hybrid - once the battery is depleted, the gasoline engine kicks on and you keep driving.

This electric vehicle is really sweet - but like every other concept car, I have a hard time getting excited about it, because the production model is usually some watered-down version that's made to appeal to Grandma and Junior all at the same time.

Actually, the Evos looks kinda similar to the Honda CR-Z!?
