Scheduled Charge Has Not Begun

Keep getting this message when I plug in, even though I do not have any scheduled charges. Charging is set to "charge now."

Anyone else experiencing this?

Charging Fault Msg Followed by Full Stop of Charging

Picked up my FFE today, after 3 weeks in the shop. Drove the 80 miles home. Car has been kicking out tons of "charging fault" messages to mfm while at the shop. Was told not to worry. Got it home and plugged in and that's right "charging fault." To the point where it stopped charging, using the 240v...

Re: 2013 Focus Electric Changes

It is not just you. I can't see it anymore either. Same thing happened with similar post on FFE.COM Yeah I kind of did this post as an experiment. I don't see a way to post the image directly, only the link to the image. So looks like that link is going bad for some reason. Maybe I can get some priv...

2013 Focus Electric Changes

Here are the confirmed changes for 2013 Ford Focus Electric. Although, apparently Ford can "change or modify" without notice. To wit, they deleted all of the 2012 stuff from my 2013, AND they stuck me with the 2 way adjustable head restraints that push my wife's head forward. https://lh6.googleuserc...

Re: Question : Regarding Portable generators and the FFE

If you need to go 150 miles/day and recharging from the grid during the day is not possible, then you sound like a candidate for a Volt or a Plug-In Prius or CMAX energi or Fusion Energi. Their engines are way more efficient than any generator you can buy. There are calculators to help figure out wh...

Re: Battery Life

There is an odd event that occurs when the battery gets under 30 miles of capacity. It starts to bonus you multiple miles of status. I have literaly had a minus 3-4 miles at 30 and ended up with 10 miles of surplus upon the completion of my trip. When the battery showed 30 miles of range left you w...

Re: Battery Life

I think what the LEAFers have recently done is a very good method. Although they ran till full stop, I think a run till low battery warning over a set course, at set speed and temperature and climate control settings should give you a good benchmark.

My car is at the dealer now. The technician found two transmission related error codes. They will investigate more.
Transmission related error codes on a direct drive car...hmm the plot thickens.

Re: Drove an FFE at Richmond Ford

Jason is definitely stoked about the FFE and very knowledgable. And he has helped me with the FFE way beyond the call of duty, which I greatly appreciate. Where did you get burned being an early adopter? 80 miles is a long way to go for service issues, I'm living that right now. However, I can say R...

Re: Single Speed Transmission

Our "L" gear shift position must be electrical in the motor. The only reason for it to be there appears to be an ancient Federal law that you must have a way to slow down using the engine/motor turning resistance. This came about when brake failures were common place and automatics started to becom...
