Re: Lease End Options

Fat Focus was Ford Credit your leasing company? I was under the impression they didn't care whether or not you bought it at lease end as they could write off any loss as the vehicle went to auction. When I bought my 2013 used, it was a lease return. The name of the leasing company was Cab East LLC ...

Re: Car will not start

Update! That right. An update on a situation that was supposedly over. I do not own the car any more. Ford should know this, right? Nope. I was just contacted by Ford Corporate. They have agreed to buy back my car as the engineering Dept has basically given up trying to fix it. But wait, the dealer ...

Re: Car will not start

Your situation sounds just like mine was. I went through 7+ months of that crap. Same stuff. Ford taking forever to make any little decision on the car. They replaced 3 harnesses (same one, 3 times), the sobdm, the tcm, and were in the process of looking into replacing the battery. My car was "The" ...

Re: Charge Fault - won't charge

Glad you got it back. I wouldnt expect anything from ford. I know that feeling of getting the car back and loving how it drives. That feeling lasted about 4 days for me though. LOL. Enjoy it!

Re: original supplied charging cable with ICCB is broken

Wow, none of that looks like any oem anything. I wonder who they contracted to build those for overseas?
On the positive side, it looks easy enough to cut and bypass the broken section.

Re: original supplied charging cable with ICCB is broken

I dont know how it works in Germany but the ford supplied evse is under warranty as part of the 8 year, 100k mile battery ev parts warranty. Thats in the U.S. If yours is under warranty you might not want to open it as that might void any warranty.

Re: Charge Fault - won't charge

Update: We are now at 4 weeks to the day. Dealer is waiting on the replacement harness part from Ford. Should arrive Thurs or Friday. We will see how quickly they can install it and if it actually fixes the problem. I realize 4 weeks is very short compared to what some here have gone through, but i...

Re: 2018 FFEs sold out in California

The China Focus plans got the kibosh. https://www.wsj.com/articles/ford-scraps-plan-to-import-china-built-small-car-due-to-tariff-cost-1535729401 Well, they were only planning on importing the focus active, a subaru type model with raised ground clearance. And who knows how long these tariffs will ...
