Re: California Owners - White HOV stickers expiring Jan 2019

The way I read it is: if you bought your car on or after Jan 1 2017 you can apply at the end of this year for a new sticker. Will it be red? I don't know. I bought my Focus Electric in June and it now sports a red sticker. The state is trying to comply with the federal law that says 45mph must be ma...

Re: L vs. D

I drive exclusively in L. Better control/feedback/regen and way less wear on the brakes. How does it lessen the wear on the brakes? So long as you aren't slamming on the brakes, using the brake pedal engages regen anyway, the same as driving in L, so what is the difference? Keith I personally can't...

Re: 2017 Ford Focus pricing

I got my 2018 out the door with tax, licensing, etc for $29.2k. Since I receive a $7500 federal tax break and a $2500 state refund, the most it's worth with ZERO MILES would be around $19k. Now that mine has 2500 miles on it, I'd suspect it's worth $14k to $15k.

I'm pretty sure Russian bots don't need solar power.

I've had two Clipper Creek's now and both have performed flawlessly. Made in U.S.A.

Re: Thoughts on a Tesla Model 3

I drove my 81 year old mother's TM3 the other day. It's certainly 2 or 3 times the car my Focus Electric is. Being 6-2, 250 it is not the easiest getting in an out, but it's comfy while driving.

Re: Anyone do a horn upgrade?

Mission accomplished. I installed the dual Hella horns today. I ran some large gauge wire to them for both the power and ground. The trigger wire(s) is easy. I removed the factory horn, cut the wires, used the instructions on the side of the box, and a couple hours later I had them working fine usin...

Re: Anyone do a horn upgrade?

I'm pretty sure I don't need an air horn, but hey that would be pretty awesome. I just ordered a set of lo/hi horns from Hella on eBay. I'll report back after I install them.
