Re: 2017 FFE let's get some real data here.

Wow we have taken this thread a long ways off track... We have indeed. But why stop now? Even though you put a joking face at the end of the WiFi statement, I'm guessing you would like to see that happen. Not really "joking", but more "lighthearted". I'm completely kidding with the word "obligated"...

Re: Stop Safely Now Warning

I could have taken the car in right away, but I live in a mostly rural area, and I was closely monitoring what was happening with making notes on my iPhone (mileage mark, time, when the SSN alert happened). Then, I became curious as the timing of the SSNs changed. I told the Ford folks all of this....

Re: Chevy Bolt Drive

I'm curious what the estimated delivery time for a Bolt is. When I looked in March, they were quoting me up to 12 months. That's when I decided maybe I didn't need the full 383 km range, which led me to the Ford dealer. :D What I really want is something more like the FFE with the range of the Bolt....

Charging station providers should be obligated also to provide free Wi-Fi, especially if they are in the middle of nowhere. :D I don't personally find an hour delay to be horrible if I'm by myself, but I can see that it might be trying for a passenger who wasn't into the whole "EV" thing. I look for...

Re: 1 Year In, thoughts on my FFE

Funny you should say that, I just read this article today: The Stick Shift is dead, long live the Stick Shift This is the one thing I am very sad to be losing as I replace my old Civic with an FFE. I understand why a manual transmission is unnecessary in an EV, but I will miss it. I (and a few peop...

Re: In the market for all electric

I have a commute of 52-55 miles one way with an accessible charger at work. You don't state whether you have charging capability at home. If you're thinking of charging only on the "work" and, and you have a 55 mile commute, then it seems you'd be pushing your luck a bit, even if it's all flat terr...

Re: New owner of 2017 FFE

I was under the impression that freezing the battery would permanently damage it. Haha. I watched a YouTube video last night that talked about this very mythconception, as it applies to 12V car batteries. The wisdom shared was that you should always opt to store your batteries in cooler temperature...

I thought of that after I posted.

I can't comment on how much smarter the financing is here, but you get way insaner purchase incentives down there.

Re: Where is the 2017 Focus Electric???

The leather seats also have more cushion and support and lumbar support (driver's seat). It's not just the outside skin that's different. The seat itself is different. Hmm. I wish they'd specify that on their "build" page. I didn't even know about the electric controls (which I don't really care ab...
