According to Ford.com, the 2016 Focus charges in 3.6 hours on 240V and 20 hours on 120V, while the 2017 takes 5.5 hours on 240V and 30 hours on 120V. It has a 33.5 kWh battery btw, though I'm not sure how much of that will be usable. I'm getting mine in about 6 weeks, so I can't give 1st hand experi...

According to the 2014 owner guide and the workshop manual, it looks like a scan tool is required. If you're ever in my neck of the woods (Livonia/Redford, MI, or Allen Park/Dearborn depending on the time of day), I'd gladly assist though. Any nooks and crannies under the hood that may be useful for keeping rarely used items? Did you figure this out? The videos are usually just hyperlinks, so I'm not sure how they're treated on the DVDs. Were there any videos in particular you were trying to view? I can take a look and see if they're worth your time.
