Re: New Recall - Differential Assembly

Hi!

Could this "issue" have caused my problem where I put the car into Drive, it did not move until I kept trying moving the gear back and forth and turning the power on and off? This happened twice.

Thanks,

Re: New Recall - Differential Assembly

GHTech, When they said it would take 3 weeks, I doubt if they meant the work itself will take that long, right? See if you can get them to receive the new parts in advance so you can just give up your car for one day for completion. I'm about to check back in to my Ford dealer to figure out why the...

Re: New Recall - Differential Assembly

you might want to get the extended service/warranty to get loaner coverage! I am waiting until mid Jan to get mine done so I can do the inspection, tire changes and so on all at once. As well as modem upgrade I normally get the extended warranty for my other car/van. But, I got the FFE on a 3-year ...

Re: New Recall - Differential Assembly

I made my appointment to take my 2016 FFE for the recall yesterday (Mon) morning. They called me back and said that the transmissions parts need to be replaced, and it will take about 3 weeks. This is the biggest volume Ford dealer in the world, and I was pretty surprised. The SA said that they cann...

Re: Problem Moving from a Stop

Hi!

Has anyone got a response from the Service Department about this issue? I have to take mine in for the recall, and will ask them to check. But, it would be good to have as much info as possible.

Thanks,

Re: Problem Moving from a Stop

Hi!

My concern would be that if one reverses out, and cannot get out of the way of on-coming traffic due to this issue. So, it looks like it is not restricted to a certain model year.

Re: Problem Moving from a Stop

Was the green ready-to-drive light lit? Sometimes you can fool yourself into thinking the car is working if you can just "roll" out of a spot due a slight incline (with the ready-to-drive light not actually on). The ready-to-drive light might not come on if you shift out of park too quickly after t...

Problem Moving from a Stop

Greetings! We have a FFE 2016 with about 3,200 miles on it. I have had a problem happen twice (once yesterday and once about a month ago) where after I reverse the car out of a parking spot, and put it into Drive, the car does not move. Moved it to Park, and then to Drive, no difference. Tried turni...

Re: Activating Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Possible?

Hi! Quick update. Took the FFE in on Fri and was expecting an hour at most. But, had to leave for an afternoon meeting. Was told that the tech is on the phone with the Ford Hotline, and engineers. Was asked if I can leave the car, which I did. I will check back on Mon. Not complaining as they are t...
