Re: New Recall - Differential Assembly

They are replacing the electric motor next. It's still not clear how it went from recall work to this point, but here we are.

Re: Sync 3 Apple Carplay update

How do you like it? Are there features that make it worth it to lose the range / surplus display?

I'm currently feeling the same as WattsUp above.

Re: New Recall - Differential Assembly

After cleaning out the debris inside the differential, the tech discovered that the gears were damaged after all. Ford had them replace the entire differential and the bearings holding it. Unfortunately, they reported that the original noise remains and confirmed that at low speeds it sounds like a ...

Re: Newbie electric driver budget/driving style question

Try switching the left display so you can see how much energy is going to climate. The heater doesn't have a dedicated power switch like the AC. It is enabled automatically by the temperature setting. It may be engaging without you knowing it.

Re: Using an Extension Cord With The FFE

Re: New Recall - Differential Assembly

They put the car up on the lift and confirmed the sound was coming from the transmission area that they worked on. They agreed the sound should not be happening, the tech had done this recall before, but they didn't immediately know the cause. After a few days of back and forth with Ford for advice,...

The Bolt is a smaller car by length and width. It is taller though.

Re: New Recall - Differential Assembly

I just had this transmission recall work completed (after over a week at the dealer) and boy am I upset. My Focus now sounds like someone put a baseball card in its spokes! It had no problems before, so I feel like an idiot for fixing it when it wasn't broken. After picking up the car, my first clue...

Re: Normal Range

Good fun can by had in a trip up a mountain: Rising anxiety as you climb and the guess-o-meter plummets. Coasting back down pull it into L and watch your guess-o-meter set a new high score.
