Re: For Sale - GE Wattstation 30 amp Level 2 EVSE - $300

I bought an NEMA 6-50 to Tesla adaptor cable and just plug that straight into the Tesla charger and into the car. I considered keeping the Wattstation in case I get another EV that needs it, but I have too much stuff already. Glad that somebody else can get use of it.

Re: Rats Chewed Through Wire. Getting Stop Safely Now Error

Yeah I completely understand. For some reason I was assuming that the cut wire was discovered before taking it in. I guess what they say about assumptions is true... Nope. Car just wouldn't start one morning. Got it towed to the Ford dealer, hoping that perhaps my battery had bricked and I wo...

I completely agree, however I did not have the skillset to diagnose where the wire was chewed. Once I had that, I know I could have jumpered it.

Re: Rats Chewed Through Wire. Getting Stop Safely Now Error

Same issue with my wife's 2016 FFE, chewed the small green wire not the HV wires, fortunately. Dealer wants $260 to fix. Took 13 days so far. Had to talk to Ford engineers to see if they could repair the wire or not. Damn rodents. Probably could have jumpered it and driven home to fix myself...

Re: Stupid EV Tricks: Drive up a Mountain...

did the same thing down here where I live....drove up Glendora Mountain Road. Left the house with a full charge. Got to the top, a bit less than 20 miles, had about 20 miles remaining on the GOM. Had a nice lunch with the wife, then came back down. Used no electricity going back down, and arrived b...

Re: FFE is gone

Been tracking my old car on the Ford app, it's already down at an auction house in San Diego (actually Otay Mesa, right next to the US/Mexico border). They didn't waste any time with it!

FFE is gone

So yesterday was a sad day, I walked away from my trusty FFE after 3 1/2 years and 38,500 miles of ownership. The last drive down to the dealership to pick up my new car was bittersweet...anticipation for what I was getting, but sadness since the FFE had far exceeded my expectations. The FFE showed ...

Re: 2016 FFE - A/C is not blowing cold

I have the reverse problem. I am not getting any heat from the vents even if the heater is dialed up to max. Does anyone have experience with having issues with heater and how expensive is it to fix the heater/heatPump on FFE 2014? Thanks. Have you checked your coolant to see if it is low? Not sure...

Re: Moving On......

So went to CarMax today, they offered me $10,000. I submitted a trade-in request to Tesla, they offered $11,500. Not too bad, considering, after Ford discounts and rebates, and tax incentives, I only paid about $14,500 for the car (not including sales tax, 9.5% in SoCal, and registration). This car ...
