Tips for cleaning and protecting cloth seats

Hi all, I purchased a new FFE over the weekend and I'm beginning to wish I had opted for the leather seats. I'm finding the cloth seats to be complete dirt magnets and difficult to clean. I have a two year old daughter who has a tendency to climb out of her car seat and get shoe smears all over the ...

Re: Steering Issues with the 2014 Ford Focus Electric

I keep stumbling upon more and more posts about people complaining about the steering feel, particularly at high speeds. Here's another one from a year ago: http://www.myfocuselectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1410#p6760 I'm beginning to wonder if this is just the "new normal" for cars with ele...

Re: Which Android apps should I use with the FFE?

Why can't the car's nav system contact a server directly with its own wireless radio since its not having to download much data, just an address? I wonder the same thing. If Ford can send Go Times and Value Charge information to the car via it's wireless radio, why not these simple addresses as wel...

Re: Steering Issues with the 2014 Ford Focus Electric

Sorry to say, I don't think it's a universal problem. I certainly don't have it; my steering is great. If I'd experienced that when I went to pick it up, I would have left it. There's no way I'd drive off in a car with loose steering. It's very subtle and something I don't think anyone would pick u...

Re: Which Android apps should I use with the FFE?

It is unlikely that send to car app will work. The contract between Ford & Google ran out and you can no longer send an address to the car from a google map (you can, however, do it from a mapquest map: http://jamiegeek.myevblog.com/2013/10/06/where-ever-you-go-there-you-are/ ). The only other apps...

Re: 2014 Ford Focus joins my 2012 LEAF as my only cars.

My torque steer is pretty bad, I'm going to see if an alignment will help. Any chance getting this covered under warranty? My car only has 600 miles on it, so the alignment was going to be covered under warranty. I just called the dealership to find out what was going on with my car. My advisor sai...

Re: Steering Issues with the 2014 Ford Focus Electric

Brand new FFE owner here (picked mine up this weekend) and I think I am noticing the same thing. I don't notice the issue much driving on city streets, but I agree it was very noticeable on the highway at high speeds. Seems like there have been a few posts about steering/alignment problems mentioned...

Re: My random thoughts/comments/questions/concerns as I go

Wow, this is great stuff! I love it, although I can already see my wife rolling her eyes as I excitedly try to explain it to her. :)

I'm thinking a good way to force myself off my ICE habits will be to use cruise control (when safe, of course) to keep me at 65mph (max) on the freeways.

Re: My random thoughts/comments/questions/concerns as I go

...I do love that my 30 mile round trip commute allows me to drive any way I like with the climate control set however I want :D Well, I guess I can really go hog wild then, given my 2 mile round trip commute to work! But, as you said, I already have a few plans to stretch out the range, so I...

Re: My random thoughts/comments/questions/concerns as I go

So when I got in my fully charged Focus this morning, the Guess O' Meter said I had 63 miles to empty. Is this normal, considering the advertised range is 76 miles? Maybe. It depends on what your recent driving patterns and climate control usage were and what your (resulting) average Wh/mi is. At 6...
