Re: End of lease? What are you doing?

Normally they will do so, but you should definitely do it yourself and not risk their making a mistake. The new owner is Ford Credit at whatever address you have been using for them A friend turned in his car out of state, and the California DMV never got notified. It was a big expensive headache. ...

Re: End of lease? What are you doing?

Anyone that returned their leased Ford car in California to a Ford dealer, did you have to yourself go online to the DMV website, to enter info there for a "Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability" form within 5 days? Or did the Ford dealer do this for you as part of the lease end turn in proced...

Re: End of lease? What are you doing?

I had my Ford authorized 3rd party end of lease inspection at my house today for my 2014 Ford Focus Electric which has its 3 year lease ending at the end of this month. I setup the appointment about a week ago for sometime in the afternoon today. I put the car out in the driveway for easy access. Go...

Re: End of lease? What are you doing?

I discovered I needed to call Ford Credit up to get the inspection info, and they were able today to look up my Ford lease account and determined the 3rd party that does the lease end inspections for them tried to contact a month ago. Maybe they called my home number when I wasn't home and didn't le...

Re: End of lease? What are you doing?

My 2014 FFE lease ends at the end of this month.
Has anyone gotten the free 3rd party inspection prior to turning in their leased Ford car?
I'm trying to set that up now since I'd prefer to know in advance if they find anything to charge for, then be surprised after I turn it in to the local dealer.

In one of the articles they mention Nissan plans to offer a 60KWh battery upgrade option in the future (2019) as well increasing the range to ~220miles or so, similar to the Chevy Bolt.

Re: buying used - what to look for and dealership games

Anyone shopping for a used FFE, my 2014 FFE with very low mileage (will be just under 9000miles) will finish the 3 year lease at the end of next month 9/30/2017. Ford dealer will probably ending up sending it to auction where it will probably end up selling somewhere as a used car. The Ford end of l...

Re: How Is This Lease?

The residual value appears a lot lower than that from my 2014 FFE Lease where it was around $16K. Lowering the residual value several thousand will raise the monthly payments, but lower the option to buy price at the end of lease. With deals at this time of year, I would shoot for closer to $225/mon...

Re: 2016 FFE Suddenly became a brick [Solved]

Very interesting - so a 12v power reset fixed it? Perhaps pulling a certain fuse might have had the same effect? Indeed its important to practice and learn how to use the backup manual key if the car's power is out, since everything is powered now - doorlocks, windows, etc. Keep any backup starter b...
