Re: ST spoiler (replica) installation:

So I have to ask who was the eBay vendor for your ST spoiler. I just did an eBay search for Focus ST spoilers and there are quite a variety of vendors, most from China.

Thanks and Cheers

Re: Ford full-size, high-performance, long-range vehicle?

Jamie, Thanks for your reply and insight. I expect that you are right with your premise that the EV power train is already less expensive than a comparable ICE powertrain. However, consider that the FFE power train is being produced at a rate of approximately 2000 per year and that is after 3 years ...

Re: Ford full-size, high-performance, long-range vehicle?

"But I don't think they will. Even A MKS isn't that expensive of a car, it would be hard to jump $30k in base price to a base model. And right now the Model S and Tesla have cachet that Ford could only dream of. Competing directly with the Model S isn't really a great idea right now . I think you m...

Re: Ford full-size, high-performance, long-range vehicle?

I’d certainly be in for a full sized, long range Ford EV based on the Fusion/MKS(Z) platform and the 3-4 year timeframe would probably be about right as well. (3-4 years before initial production and 2 years of production to mature the product would give me time to pay-off the FFE loan – if it ever ...

Re: ST spoiler (replica) installation:

For the most part I really dislike spoilers or other body accents in contrasting colours. But I must agree that in this case the ST spoiler in black against the white FFE body does look really rather sharp! Personally I’d have used a gloss black but that is another of my dinosaur tastes!! :-) Thanks...

Re: Installing a Bosch EL-51253 Power Max 30A Level 2 charge

@Studio460 I have to agree with you that the Bosch EVSE is one of the more handsome units on the market and is one of the main reasons I am considering it, although in the 25 ft cord variant. The overall appearance is particularly important as my installation will be located on the front of the hous...

Re: Graphics ideas: Vehicle graphics sample photos.

Sorry for the shameless plug here but…. For those that might want custom graphics my wife has a small vinyl graphics business and is capable of doing appliqués up to 42” wide and of virtually unlimited length. Pin strips, racing stripes, faux carbon fibre, bold graphics, monograms etc., what takes y...

Re: Has anyone hard-wired a 12V accessory to their FFE?

In the thread regarding using the headlight LEDs as Daytime Running Lights, http://www.myfocuselectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1589&start=10 there is a photo showing the fuse box which clearly has several unused ports. You should be able to use one of the open fuse postions to install a separ...

Re: Some minor modifications

I was beginning to think I was the only one left with “dinosaur tastes” liking wood grain and chrome. Properly done wood and chrome can enhance any interior and you can never have too much chrome on the exterior!! (Witness the Lotus Evora chrome treatment in the movie Host!) These wood panels are ve...

Re: 2015 FFE interior color option? Reported "10 wheels?"

The 2015 order guide is out. There are 4 new exterior colors, Performance Blue, Magnetic, Tectonic Silver and Ruby Red. Interior color is the same, no option. The only real option is the same leather/power seat. The only other differences are the design tweaks on the interior and exterior. Can you ...
