Re: 0.05 Gallons/Mile

Last time I charged my car, I was there for over 3 hours and it cost me 4 bucks. I get about 65-70 miles on average in my car. So for 4 bucks on top of the $5.95 per month, that's pretty much what I get for driving 65 miles. Is that better than some SUVs and pickup trucks that get 20 miles per gall...

Re: Full Throttle

TiredEngineer - that is probably prudent. I wouldn't worry about you driving Canton to Windy Hill/Powers Ferry and back without charging at work about nine months out of the year, even driving at speed coming down 575 until you hit the wall at the merge with I-75. When it's cold, however, you would...

Re: Full Throttle

Oop! Sandy Springs Ford is down to just one FFE listed on their webpage. Suppose TiredEngineer snagged one of the two that were left?

Re: Full Throttle

- 60 mile round trip commute. Half of the time I am moving 75+. Other half is stop-and-go. Atlanta - Assume full climate, radio/mp3, lights, wipers, EVERYTHING - There ARE chargers at work (albeit very competitive getting a space) - Relatively hilly Assuming I can charge at work (so roughly 30 mile...

Re: Questions

My daily drive being inside of the energi's range was what got me in the door to look at it. To justify the higher price I figure we'd need to be able to take it on weekend trips to keep miles off our aging suv and I feel that the trunk space would be enough of an issue that it is currently removed...

Re: Questions

We have a Focus Electric and a Fusion Energi. Carrying around a 23kWh battery in the Electric vs. carrying around an ICE with a 7kWh battery in the Energi is pretty much a wash as far as energy consumption is concerned. The Energi is only 289 pounds heavier than the Electric. I look at Watt-hours pe...

Re: Applink and Plugshare?

I'm wondering what is happening with the transition to the Blackberry operating system. Will we get it as an update? If so, there are all kinds of apps that run on that system. If not, I'm afraid Microsoft Sync is going to be like Windows 98, abandoned and ignored.

Re: Stop Safely Now Warning

What color did you get, Chris?

I'm in East Cobb. My wife (mostly) drives our oxford white.

Welcome. It's not a BMW, but it's a very nice car. Hope you enjoy it.

Re: PHEV + EV Household

Between us we consumed maybe $4 worth of electricity. We both feel like the monkey is off our back. For comparison, I drove to the hardware store to pick up my chain saw after it was repaired. I didn't want the possibility of oil leaking in the Electric or the Energi, so I drove my F-150. About 17 ...
