Re: Vanity Plates - Tool or not to Tool

We got an Alternative Fuel Vehicle plate for the FFE. I don't think that we had the option of going vanity with that, just had to accept the number the DMV gave us. My wife has done something unusual, however. For the first time since she was in high school (a long time ago), she has named our cars....

Re: Ford Fusion Energi

And, this would be my wife's car... We bought the Fusion Energi for my wife. We both fell in love with driving on electricity and two months later decided to get an FFE as well. My wife has named both of these cars - the Energi is "Gigi" and the FFE is "Effie" - the last time she named a car was in...

Re: Ford Fusion Energi

Me, I want a Ford Focus Electric, but none are in stock to take advantage of the $6,000 rebate on those, but my wife prefers (ok, she really wants) a Ford Fusion. It's her nice way of telling me no to a FFE. I get part-way there (electric) by buying a Ford Fusion Energi. My round trip to and from w...

Re: 0.05 Gallons/Mile

In my area, there is free unlimited charging at several parking structures that offer free parking on nights and weekends. Even the local mall has free charging. I suppose that if one lived across the street or just down the block from such a parking garage or mall, that would be convenient. I can ...

Re: Finding a FFE on a dealer lot

http://www.CARS.COM Geez Louise! I did a search on my zip code and there are only 7 cars within 500 miles of me and 6 of those are at the dealer where I got mine. The next closest is 458 miles away in Petersburg, Virginia. I feel really fortunate to have what is apparently the epicenter of FFE dist...

I was pleased with the sales experience there - no BS, just price and terms. I am pleased that they repaired the holes left by the front license tag bracket at no cost to me. Haven't had a need to go back for anything since.

Re: 0.05 Gallons/Mile

discounting 60 percent of some cities population is a bad idea. No, discounting 60 percent of the population of some cities is a good idea if it means discouraging people from making a mistake in their choice of a vehicle and becoming miserable with that choice. The FFE isn't for everybody. It work...

Re: 0.05 Gallons/Mile

Having recently purchased my 2014 FFE on the 1st of March. I'm still getting alot of questions. I talk to people in terms they can understand. I tell them that I get about 88 miles for the cost of 1 gallon of gas. The math here is: 15 cents per KWH (my utility does not offer night time charging at ...
