Re: Auto door handle sensor not working

A common problem with those (they are used on just about every Ford these days).

Re: EVSE Recall mail

I was lucky, my garage had 2 (220v) outlets when I bought it, and my entire (100 year old) house's electrical system was updated with a pretty beefy system, not usual for historic homes in my area. When we install solar this month, I'll be adding a couple more 220's further back in the garage so I ...

Re: MyFordMobile app - Vehicle Locator says "Turn on your GP

Have you tried to reset the telematics module? (There is a fuse you can pull/replace to power cycle it in the rear fusebox; look in the owner's manual for the specific location).

Re: EVSE Recall mail

From what I remember, you just need to make (or buy) a Nema 5-15 (household 110v outlet) to 220v outlet of your choice. If you search ebay Im pretty sure someone from the EV world sells NEMA 5-15 to NEMA 6-50 adapters, and the like. I should have one floating around my basement from my Volt.. Its n...

Re: EVSE Recall mail

Yep, its the same EVSE that comes with 2nd gen Volts (made by Clipper Creek). Should just need an adapter to plug into 220V outlet and it should charge at 3.3kw or 3.6kw.. cant remember. I remember reading this thread about the subject when I owned a Volt. Owners have been using this for a few year...

Re: Acceptable disconnect

Well some cars won't let you do that at all--they lock the cable to the car. You'll get tons of opinions here on that. So far I haven't been in a situation where I needed a charge that bad (my FFE didn't have a fast charge and I never encountered the situation with Level 2. On the Bolt its range is ...

Re: Sync reboot and no propulsion

Yup the FFE is very particular about starting up. You can't just hop in, start it, and go--it doesn't like that at all. Typically my procedure was: Open door, get in Foot on brake Press start Close door Keep foot on brake buckle up Adjust radio, etc. Shift to D or R You need to give it that extra be...

Re: SKL Motorworks advertising a FFE Performance Chip

Considering it looks like that modifies either the throttle position or the MAF sensor reading I doubt that would work with the FFE as it has neither.

Re: Key In Fob

When the 12V battery dies you wouldn't be able to get in the car without using the key as everything is electric.
