Re: Stop Safely Now Warning

All of the dashboard indicators are explained in the owners manual (for both the Focus Electric, and the conventionally powered Focus). Been reviewing the owners manual while I wait for my order to complete. The FFE's owner's manual is very detailed (including how to replace the exterior lamps and a...

Re: MFT ignoring touch input... then rebooted... while drivi

Have any of you tried pulling the fuse for Sync and letting it do a "hard reboot"? This usually fixes any MFT issues for me (granted in an ICE Focus though). On my ICE Focus the Sync fuse is in the fusebox in the passenger footwell--its a pain to get to. My procedure: Turn engine off, pull fuse, tur...

Re: I want the software in this video...

I can't comment about the software in the FFE since I don't have mine (yet) but I can comment about the My Ford Touch(MFT) software in general (since we have two vehicles with it: my current 2012 Focus, and a 2011 Edge--the first vehicle released with MFT). MFT has, in general, suffered greatly due ...

Re: Ford backs away from its own electric car.

"backing away" would imply that Ford has changed its plans for the FFE. I don't see that at all in the article, in fact: C.J. O'Donnell, the company's group marketing manager for electrification, told The Detroit News that those sales were "meeting our expectations in the marketplace." That alone te...

Interesting: If they do batch them up mine may not take as long as yours--it may even be built around the same time..

(Two weeks in now with no news.)

Estimating range/usage with a smartphone

About a week ago I put an order in for one (FFE). While waiting for it to arrive (yeah a long wait..expecting 8-12 weeks). I've been using the iOS app: iEV2 to estimate battery usage for my daily commute. Has anyone also done this, and more importantly, verified the apps figures once you got your FFE...

ben450: Any news on your car?

I just placed an order for a FFE from the same dealership--they quoted me a timeframe of 8-12 weeks.
