Re: Focus wont start and has no power

Its been a while but I believe it is a smaller battery as the FFE doesn't require the "cranking amps" that the ICE Focus requires.

Re: Focus wont start and has no power

Your problem is not with the high voltage battery (it is fine); your problem is with the 12V battery.

Put a charger on it (or even jump it from an (gasp) ICE vehicle). Note that you may now have to replace the 12V battery (its under the hood).

This is a common occurrence with the FFE.

Re: Road trip (rental)

Being from the mid-west: When we say "up" it usually means "up north" and not "up a mountain" as the landscape is generally flat LOL.

Re: Sync 3 Instability

You actually may need a new module, not just a software reload. Sync 3 in my old C-Max was a delight compared to Sync 2 in the FFE. Everything worked as advertised except for the charge now/value charge setting: With Sync 2 that setting seemed to be tied to the locations, in Sync 3 it seemed like it...

Re: How to have start charging even though set to "Value Cha

Yeah when you turn off the car the right screen on the dash will present a choice: Value Charge or Charge Now. Use the keypad on the right side of the steering wheel and select Charge Now--before you even plug it in. I used to use that all the time--it was really annoying when I discovered the C-Max...

Teardown videos

Has anyone seen these...I had always searched around for something like this when I had the FFE (Found a Bolt one right away when I picked it up but FFE ones were few and far between):

Re: Show me your Garage!

Thats a creative solution. I cant believe the city enforced that rule on a cul de sac.. Either the sidewalk must have been in pretty bad shape or your city has very little to do. The city enforces that rule everywhere. They divided up the area into regions and every spring/summer a new region is "s...

Re: Show me your Garage!

No you really don't want to see my garage as there is nothing redeemable about it.

In fact, the Bolt hates the garage so much that I had to appease it by doing this: (Yeah ok; the real story about that is here)

Re: Auto door handle sensor not working

Good question that I can't answer. We have 1 Ford now with those same sensors and its still working (I think--our son drives the car now and he hasn't complained about them).

On that car (a 2014 Escape) they sometimes work and sometimes doesn't work.
