Re: Reverse problem

I have the problem in my garage too. 1 time in 5 or so, there is a delay from when I put the car in reverse that it actually goes in reverse. I don't think it has happened anywhere else. Although I park in the garage longer than anywhere else, I'm parked at work for 9 to 11 hours a day. I think it m...

Re: Solar homes and the FFE.

I've gone solar, but it isn't cost effective for everyone. I use about 300KWhs/mo to charge the car, which pushes up the cost of all my other power use because it puts my cost per KWh in the upper teirs. I'm in So Cal, so I have Edison, and can end up paying quite a bit for power if I use a lot. If ...

Re: Ford scanner installation video and Ford scanner softwar

Seems too fishy to me. English isn't that good, product too cheap for what it advertises, too much convincing to ignore virus warnings. Although it may work fine, I think I'll do what others are doing; wait and see if someone else bites.

Re: Car turns charger on and off every so often

I think the issue is that when the car wants to draw power for accessory lights etc and it is plugged in and charged, it will attempt to pull the power from the charger. Just because it clicks on, doesn't mean the charger in the car is charging the battery; it only means that the charger is connecti...

Re: 500 Miles

It all depends on how and where you drive. The "miles remaining" is a good gage if you are driving consistently on a flat grade, but even a slight uphill or downhill commute will distort the numbers. For instance, I have a slightly downhill commute to work. I also drive 75 or so MPH on the freeway f...

Re: My ford mobile app not updating

If you search the forum, there are some answers. I had the same trouble awhile back. For some, you might be able to pull the f1 fuse, telemetrics, and put it back in. If that doesn't work, a system reset will likely work. I don't recall the exact location on the ffe touch screen under settings, but ...

Re: Tiered/flat-rate vs. time-of-day use electric rate plans

I live in SCE zone 8. My rates seem to be a little higher than zone 6. As for a good analysis, SCE doesn't do a good job. They don't look at how you use power during the day. They just look at the total. If you have TOU, there is also a TOU EV, which is even better still. It only really matters when...

Re: Down hill gental bake or coast? for recharge

I'm pretty sure the brake light works regardless of what gear you are in. However, regen only works when the gear is "D" or "L". You will notice that if you brake in neutral, you will not get a "score" for how well you did on braking. I believe the reason is neutral disengages the motor from the whe...

Re: Charging and life recommendations...

I did a little math the other day and I believe that the focus only charges to 80%. When you turn your car off, there are some statistics on the display left of the speedometer. It shows you what your average Wh/mile. Your batter is 23KWh. Now keep in mind what your range is just after you charge yo...
