Re: Ford Parts HVB Price Increase

You probably can't get the old battery anymore. I just had mine replaced under warranty and it is the new battery. I'm sure Ford would have installed the old battery if they had one to use. So you had an older smaller battery and replaced it with bigger ? good deal what happened to your battery? I ...

Re: 12V Battery Replaced

Just to follow up, the battery was dead. I thought it would be pro-rated since it was replaced by Ford while under the 36mo warranty 37 months ago, but no, they don't. They only pro-rate if you bought it. So if it died a month earlier, they'd have replaced it for free. Turns out this battery is an o...

Re: OBDII data for LVB (12V battery)

Using Forscan and the OBDII reader, there is a value for a set voltage for charging the 12V battery. I've seen it at different values, but I don't know what the intent would be to change it. I think that the DC-DC is there to charge the 12V battery; however, it will supply current for the 12V device...

Re: 12 volt battery

I believe the 12V battery is charged when the car is actively charging the High Voltage Battery and when the Car is on. I had the radio of my car stay on one time and I figured out which fuse it is and pulled it. After putting the fuse back in, the radio behaved as it should.

Re: 2017 FFE Signature Lighting with Dedicated DRLs

On my 2012 Focus, there is no real DRL. If you move the switch all the way to the right, lighting is automatic and in the daylight, no lights are on. One click to the left, it will turn the headlights on. One more click to the left and just the "eyebrow" over the headlight will be on. Some people li...

Re: Dead 12V battery then traction control freaks out

Went to leave work today and the battery was dead. Didn't have a meter to check it, but this happened in the morning about a week ago and I measured 7v. I was thinking then and again today that I might have some phantom drawl somewhere, but I may have been mistaken. I noticed the sticker on the side...

Re: Extended Warranty - Worth It?

If you are not going to put many miles on the car, then the $690 might be a good idea...for peace of mind. Of all the products I've purchased, I've never purchased an extended warranty and I've never regretted it. However, I will say that the FFE scares me a little bit. Mostly because it is difficul...

Re: 12V Battery Replaced

My 12V battery was dead this morning with 7v
I jumped it and was on my way. I'm pretty certain the battery is ok...just like triangles, will need to figure out where the draw is coming from.

Re: Stop Safely Now Warning

... Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem? Here are the technicians notes on the repair order. "Story: 53941 recall 15N03. Print off and go over recall. Scan system, came up with wrong code for recall, continue with normal diagnostic and repair procedures. Has 2 codes for TCM P1A0A:01-...
