Re: Ford dealership replaced 23kw by new 33.5kw under warran

any update ... I did have a charge session fail last night and this morning. I checked Forscan and it said that the charging circuit got too hot. However, on the way to work, I could see that the battery/charging coolant loop was running just fine. I'll need to do more checking tonight. Regards. Up...

Re: Ford dealership replaced 23kw by new 33.5kw under warran

any update Sorry for the delay. I think I posted an update elsewhere on a similar thread. So after 50+ days, I got my car back. 2017 battery and I get over 100mi in range; and that's not being conservative. I could probably stretch that to 120mi if I stayed out of the fast lane. The trip meter show...

Re: Completely at a loss

I wouldn't go by the little window alone. Mine was green when I bought it. Getting it tested would be the best. Like I said, mine had 4Ah of capacity left...about 1/10th or less than it should be...meaning, although I could charge it up past 12.5V, there wasn't enough capacity to keep it there very ...

Re: Completely at a loss

Replace the 12v battery. See if you can find out how old the battery is. You should be able to find a month/year sticker on it somewhere. If it is the Ford battery, there should also be a clear window on the top. Green means good and black means bad. Since there is no starter motor on the electric f...

Re: How to test modem

The obvious test is if you can log into your car using myfordmobile.com or the mobile app. If you can get trip info or lock and unlock the doors, then you are golden. As for OBDII, I think the telemetrics unit is one of the modules, but I'd have to double check and I'm not sure if any of the data th...

Re: 2016 FFE Suddenly became a brick [Solved]

I've never had this issue, but I have a few thoughts: 1) If the 12V battery is dead or below operating voltage, you can't charge the car. The circuit that runs the charging circuit runs off of 12V. However, once you get it going (car running or car charging), the High Voltage Battery will charge the...

Re: Dead 12V battery then traction control freaks out

So I did get a new battery awhile ago....I think I posted about it on one of the threads. Although I wasn't sure at the time about the battery, I went to Costco to get another..."no more Motorcraft" I thought, but Costco didn't carry the battery I needed. After a lot of looking, I could not find a r...

Re: Focus EV Shows "Check Battery Charge"

If you get the error again and you want to measure the voltage, it would be best to turn the car off and then read the 12V adapter. The longer the car is on, the more the battery will charge and subsequently mask the problem you are attempting to monitor. If you don't have a meter with you, you can ...

Re: audible reverse proximity sensor

"Park Aid" was what I was thinking as I started to read your entry; but it looks like you've already tried that. I think what they mean by message sensor is the screen to the left of the speedometer. Go through the menu there and see if you see anything. I'll look the next time I'm at my car. I just...

Did you mean 2013 because june of 2017 is just a few months.
Yeah...I meant 2012!
