Azure Dynamics filing for Bankruptcy

As seen on http://www.myelectriccarforums.com Azure Dynamics files for bankruptcy protection and cancels share offerings. I wonder if Ford is wondering what to do with the Transit Connect Electric? Azure Dynamics was the company installing and providing the electric vehicle components for the Ford T...

Re: Panasonic to supply batteries for Fusion Energi, Cmax En

Thanks for sharing the link on the Ford Focus Electric Forum! Interesting that this article doesn't mention the Ford Focus Electric, only the C-max Energi and the Fusion Energi - perhaps this is because the Ford Focus Electric already has a battery contract in place? Maybe once that contract expires...

Re: More unofficial delays with the Ford Focus Electric

Back on February 2nd, Mike Tinskey, associate director for Ford's Global Electric Vehicle Infrastructure said the Ford Focus Electric vehicle should start becoming available in all 19 markets around September. He's referring to the initial 19 markets that Ford first announced (way back in early 2011...

ChargePoint installing 400 more charging stations

ChargePoint aims to build over 1000 charging stations nation wide. It already has projects under way in New York, Indiana, California, Illinois and Pennsylvania. I'm a firm believer that the more charging stations people see around town, at shopping centers etc, the more open they'd be to the idea o...

Re: Washington State may have the first Electric Highway

Wow - that's great! I live in Washington State as well. Now if only we knew when the Ford Focus Electric will be available... I wonder how often there will be a charging station? Will they put one every 50 miles? Or every 100 miles? Will the frequency of charging stations be based on the range of up...

Re: Focus Extreme Weather Testing

Ha sorry about that! I thought I had found the link through the news section on this forum, but now I can't find it. This refers to the Focus in general, not the Focus Electric specifically: http://www.ford.co.uk/AboutFord/News/VehicleNews/TakingTheHeat as does this: http://www.autoevolution.com/new...

Focus Extreme Weather Testing

Here's some photos of the Focus Electric being tested at an extreme weather facility to make sure the battery pack and the rest of the car's components can handle the cold and hot weather it could encounter out in the real world. http://www.autoevolution.com/images/news/gallery/medium/the-passion-of...

Re: The Passion of the Focus

Wow - that is a cool job. I've love to be the guy that test the Ford Focus Electric, either in a funky atmospheric warehouse or out on the road! That place has: -four test chambers (two with thermodynamic wind tunnels) -six rooms that can create temperatures between -40 and +55 degrees Centigrade -a...

Re: Car Charging Group, Inc. and King Airport Parking Partne

I have to admit, this is a good idea. Every time I drive past something where there's cars stopped in a line, I think 'How can I start a business with EV chargers here'?

People could charge there Focus Electric's everywhere - in Ferry Lineups, drive in movies, campgrounds - it's limitless really.
