Re: Considering giving up the fight

Haha yeah it's got 29k miles on it. I don't really need the car at this point, working from home. I drive it once a week to play golf, and have a couple other vehicles if I do sell it early. I'd like to trade it in since I think I avoid some sales tax that way. I'm really looking forward the the Mac...

Re: Considering giving up the fight

I put $500 down on a Mach-E GT this morning. Anyone want to buy a white 2018 FFE with $29k on it?

Re: Fuse Box- What's Hot What's Not

That voltmeter in the lighter is what I have now. I just wanted something that would shut off when the car shut off. I don't get why the cigarette lighter would be engineered to stay on for fifteen minutes. I'm pretty sure it's not a "cigarette lighter" despite it having similar characteristics. Th...

Re: Brake Service

Do you live in a salty environment? If so, greasing the slide pins is probably a good idea. If not, I wouldn't worry about it. I always drive in L, so the brakes hardly ever get used.

Re: Blind Spot Monitor Function

IMO, it's foolish to not look in your mirror before changing lanes. What if someone is doing 30 or 40 MPH faster than you and you blindly change lanes?

Re: Keep the FFE or move on?

First you say it didn't even bend the frame. Then you say you needed to be cut out.

Do you think you would have been fine in the Focus? I've totaled three cars. In none of the instances would I have been better off in something as small as the Focus.

Re: Keep the FFE or move on?

Your accident wasn't catastrophic, either. I'm simply waiting for the F150 to come out. I also have a problem called brand loyalty. Add that to the previously mentioned loan on the car, and I'm about a year and a half out. For now I will gamble with my safety. I did try to fit into a Superfor...

Re: Keep the FFE or move on?

It simply takes one person not paying attention or driving crazy to kill me in the little Focus. I'm 6'2" and I take up most of the space in the cabin as it is. Just because someone was in a fender bender with a semi doesn't mean semis don't smash people to death on a daily basis. I drove my crew ca...

Re: Keep the FFE or move on?

I actually work only a few hundred yards from the factory in Fremont. Has anything changed, other than MUCH, MUCH more demand for spare parts as the sales volumes increase? https://www.sfgate.com/cars/article/tesla-repair-wait-time-complaints-electric-car-13796037.php Since any EV I own will be at l...
