FFE not obeying Juicebox EVSE charge timer.

The past few weeks my 2017 FFE has not be reliably obeying my Juicebox charge timer. First let my start by saying that I know the FFE is at fault and not the juicebox because I also own a Leaf and have been using the same procedure with the Leaf and testing it with the Leaf working fine. Here's what...

Re: Lease a new 2018 FFE vs purchase a used 2014 FFE

Absolutely Lease! I leased a 2017 FFE with leather last November for the following amounts... Monthly $272 for 36 mo (15k miles/year) $0 Drive off $8080 residual at lease end. Do the math. $9792 in total lease payments (minus $2500 CA rebate and $500 PG&E rebate) = $6792 If I chose to return the car...

Re: FFE Leases in SoCal?

Not in SoCal, but I just leased a 2017 with Leather interior in NorCal for $272 mo with $0 drive off taxes, 36 mo lease, 15k Miles/yr, and $8080 residual buyout. I was shopping multiple cars at multiple dealers and this was by far the best deal I found. My total payments will be $9800 (less $2500 f...

Re: Good price for used 2017 FFE?

Where did you find FFE 2017s for $21k? Thr lowest I can find them are for $24k. I found a price around $17K post tax credits on a 2017 FFE (with leather) in CA. I wound up leasing cause that was cheaper with the buyout. Lease wound up being about $9K in total payments and fees (15k miles/year). Buy...

Re: Good price for used 2017 FFE?

Thanks. I pulled the trigger on the used 2017 w/ 3k miles, got them down to $16,500 + tax. On paper the new one with tax credit would be cheaper, but still doesn't change the purchase price and I wouldn't have the tax liability this year to realize it. This will hold me over just fine until the Mod...

Re: Study on buying a used Electric

These studies on used EVs seem to always ignore the impact of tax incentives on the resale price. When you factor in that depending on where you live, you could see anywhere from a $7500-$14000 reductions the second you drive off a lot, of course the resale will take a hit when the second owner can'...

Re: Will a stroller fit?

This was one of my criteria as well. We have a 2017 FFE that we just got about a month ago. I went to the dealer with our stroller just to double check. The battery hump in the back does impede storage quite a bit and is a little annoying. Initially I was putting the stroller in fine but had removed...

Re: FFE buying noob, need help

You can get a brand new 2017 for about $14,000 after the tax credit. I think the range and equity position make it a better buy. I had mine transported from California to Texas for about $650 I don't think you can find them that low. Well maybe close. When I was shopping for mine a few weeks ago, I...

Re: Max kWh on new 2017 pack?

The calculated value I was getting at 5K miles was ~28.08kwh or so. Haven't done a run-down test yet. It's already at 12K now... on target to do probably 30K by the end of the 1st year! Just ran mine using the Forscan app and here's what I got. I think I was actually at 99% for some reason. Probabl...
