Re: Chevy Bolt Drive

If you go on the mychevybolt web site, people describe how it's really easy to detach the seat cover, add a little foam underneath, and they say it resolves the seat issue. I don't know, didn't find it necessary to modify. It's apparently a 10 minute job. Thanks for that. I went and signed up. I'll...

Re: Chevy Bolt Drive

So the front seats fit fine? I wouldn't say FINE ... but they will work. The seats narrow in the back but if I scooch forward a bit they're better. I might have to use a lower back pillow. Thankfully the seats go back plenty far and the steering wheel telescopes. The passenger seat feels even narro...

Re: Chevy Bolt Drive

Went down to Santa Maria Chevy yesterday. They had an LT model on hand so we had a test drive. I told them I wanted the Premier @ 1k down, $360 a month ... they said they could do 1k down and $470 a month. I said thanks for your time! Long story short and several hours of "thanks" - "no, wait" ... t...

Re: Chevy Bolt Drive

PS. I just read that the Bolt has a super narrow front seat. That's an issue for me! I'm 6'4" 310 lbs. That's a deal-breaker. If you can sit in a Honda S2000 comfortably, you'll be fine in the Bolt. If cars like the Miata and S2000 are too small for you, you might struggle a bit with the seats in t...

Re: Does anyone know when the 2018 order bank will open?

Looks like the 2018 models are available. AND the price has been dropped by about 2k. MSRP on a 2018 FFE w leather is $29k. Here's the Hot Pepper Red for Smokey. http://shop.ford.com/inventory/focus/details/1FADP3R49JL200076?zipcode=90210&year=2018&fyear=2018&ownerPACode=05536&Radius=100&modeltrim=...

Re: Chevy Bolt Drive

For what its worth, we got a Bolt Premier with both packages and DCFC ($43510 MSRP) on a 36 Month, 15K mile lease for $360 including California sales tax, zero down, zero driveaway (about $329 before sales tax). That did not involve the California $2500 rebate which will effectively reduce the cost...

Re: Chevy Bolt Drive

The FFEs I looked at w/ leather seats MSRP is $31k. The Bolt Premium (the model OP got) lists MSRP at $44k. The Model 3 (sorry to offend, M3 was just my shorthand) starts at $35k but easily jumps to the $44k range with a couple premium options. The OP is a day 1 reservation holder and he's been pro...

The future is around the corner. There are technologies coming that will put the current batteries and vehicles to shame. https://futurism.com/a-new-electric-car-battery-lasts-for-200-miles-and-charges-in-just-6-minutes/ "Japanese tech company Toshiba has just announced their next-generation SCiB re...

Re: Chevy Bolt Drive

The Bolt costs $13k more than the FFE. That's a steep jump. For that money I'd much rather have a Model 3. EH? Comparing MSRP, FFE is $29,995 vs Bolt $37,495. Yes, you can option a Bolt up to make it $13K more than a FFE, but that's comparing apples and oranges. One difference is that, depending on...
