Re: changing wheels and tires

I'm sorry but I wasn't asking for advice on if I should get winter tires. I live in Ottawa, Canada, and I'm well aware of my needs in the winter time. I KNOW these tires aren't good enough - they aren't designed primarily for snow. If someone feels safe driving all seasons in heavy snow in Detroit,...

Re: changing wheels and tires

Well OK then. Good luck. Yah thanks there eh bud! Would have added some more advice, as in tire size that actually works, and where you could get more real life experience in the snow. Sure, any advice you can give is always warranted! I'm very curious where you think I could get more real life exp...

Re: changing wheels and tires

Whoa, why 15 inch wheels? I would figure a person would go up in wheels size to lower profile. Cost. It doesn't make much sense, logically, to go with 18 inch winter tires. Gotcha. 18 inch winter tires are a very bad idea on that car. Now I ask why winter tires? Have you gone through a winter with ...

Thanks for the link, looks like I've found a home for my spare wheels. :)
Has anyone actually tried 15 inch tires on the electric yet?

Re: Sanity Check - Daily trip 110km/70 Miles

Thanks for the input. It sounds liek for the cold 3 months in winter I'd have to charge at work (which is only a buck an hour). I'm also 5 minutes from an Ikea with free charging if need be, and in the summer/spring/fall I think I could make it to work and home without even needing to recharge. Goin...

Sanity Check - Daily trip 110km/70 Miles

Looking to get my sanity checked. I've got a round trip daily commute of 110km (70miles). 30km (20 miles) of that is 65-70mph (highway), rest is slower highway/roads between 40-60 mph. Charger IS available at work ($), and secondary vehicle to an ICE vehicle. I'm in Ottawa, Canada which has hot summ...
