Re: Debating buying a 2013, what is the typical battery life?

The battery and powertrain have a 8 year,100 K mile warranty, but not against degradation on the battery. Battery degradation depends on so many factors that any individual's experience isn't much of a barometer. Basically, the more and harder you work any battery, the more capacity it loses over ti...

Re: Looking for advice

Every concern you have is valid for an FFE. On extremely hot Florida days, the AC system first prioritizes battery temperature management. Once that is met, I can get cold air. It takes two or three minutes. Once that is done the AC works as well as any conventional car. However, if you remote start...

For this car you need a battery with a working voltage of more than 14 volts, and not 12 as in gasoline cars?

This is a giant pain in the ass for me since I have to drop off my car, get a ride to work, get a ride back to the dealership later in ...

Re: EVSE Recall mail

EVSE Update: While there are some EVSE in the system, those are not for the recall. EVSE for the recall will be available "in the first quarter of 2019." Are my expectations high? Well, the postcard I got last year said they'd be ready in December 2018.

We'll see.

Re: EVSE Recall mail

I went to the dealer yesterday about the recall since the Ford mailer said new cables would be available in December. The parts department said there were some in general inventory, but the recall order process might run through a different, more timne consuming channel. At least I have the process ...

Yes. There are three cooling/heating loops and they all interact.

Re: Adios!

Two years and 20,000 trouble free miles on my used FFE. These cars seem to be amazing or agonizing with no inbetween.
