Re: Keep the FFE or move on?

Personally, if I lived in one of the 12 states that Hyundai Iqonic Electric 2020 with 170 miles , I would just get another cheap lease. They had 2019 with 124 mile range for $79 on east coast. Pretty cheap transportation! My wife and I are getting a RAV4 hybrid when lease up on Honda Clarity electri...

Re: Check Outlet light flashing

So sorry to hear you are having charging issues. I am glad car charged fine at Charge Point and evse was not an recall item. It is good to know no recalls on the car. For myself, it was an electrician friend, who installed for $75 plus parts. It cost $175 to install the TurboChord, plus cost of char...

Re: Check Outlet light flashing

Stop charging immediately. There was a recall on the Ford 110v charger due to fire hazard. Make sure it has been replaced. Have an electrician check your household circuit for proper set-up. Run Vin # through NHSTA to see if your car was part of recall. Silver Rabbit 2017 Ford Focus Electric 2017 Ho...

Re: Just bought 2012 Focus EV

Please go to “Topping of Bad for Battery” topic. They meant topping off. In this string of dialogue, there is a place that states Ford has SOC at 100% actually only charges to 90% of capacity and SOC at 0% actually is 10%. That is 20% of 23 KWh battery - very close to the useable 18 KWh when new. I ...

Re: thinking of buying my 2017 FFE when the lease is up ...

I would check used car prices on CarGurus and cars.com. Does the car serve your needs? Would a newer model with a longer range be a better choice? It all depends. The cost of new will be more. Sales tax should not make a difference-pay it regardless. The range of 100 to 125 miles serves me well. Gre...

Re: What level 2 charger is everyone using these days?

I use a TurboChord. It is 240v 16amp. It puts out 3.6 KWh per hour. It is portable. Cost $199 now. Only draw back is the unique plug. I found that slower charging is not an issue as we charge two EV cars at night time. Each fully charged in the morning. We have two plugs/two chargers. Silver Rabbit ...

Re: Looking at a 2012 FFE

Make sure that all recalls on the car have been done - run the vin number at NHTSA. Call Ford to see. Owner if original should have paperwork from dealer when completed. There was a stall problem with early ones that they corrected with software upgrade. That is a good price provided recalls complet...

Re: 2018 FFEs sold out in California

Well my FFE was in a pile-up and totaled. Researched the heck out of it, and for the price FFE won out again, but 2018s are sold out in No. and SoCal. With tariff and production hoopla, anyone worried they might drop from lineup? And if not, when will 2019 arrive? I personally think the new Nissan ...
