Re: SSN Fix: DIY Upper HV Pack Heat Exchanger (Cooling Plate) Removal

Have you had any issues with pack cooling since your repair? After putting on 3000+ miles since the rebuild, nothing that I could think of really worth mentioning. The yellow wrench will pop up if you drive immediately after charging has finished, but goes away after a few a few minutes of driving ...

And would you even know you had an overheating situation with no coolant running through the pack? I'm assuming that a coolant sensor is how the temperature is measured.
I kept the Thermistors on the modules that had them, so if it overheats I’ll know.

SSN Fix: DIY Upper HV Pack Heat Exchanger (Cooling Plate) Removal

https://i.postimg.cc/9RcpYspP/DSC-2255.jpg In follow up to my previous post (where I removed the upper HV battery pack), I'll post this so you can at least have an idea on how to disassemble the pack. Make sure you have some insulated tools or if you can't afford those, just wrap them in electrical...

Re: HV Battery Issues - Out of Warranty

I had the exact same problem, and I did a write up on fixing mines recently. The leak causes an isolation fault rendering the pack useless until you go in remove the modules, clean all the leaked coolant out, remove heat exchangers (cooling plates) between each cell in each module, dry off the bus b...

Re: 2014 FFE w/ 125,000 miles. SSN.

qflyer, Usually a Ford dealership does have plenty of high-voltage electrical technicians, since Ford has been selling Hybrids for 15 years now. And they just go by Ford diagnostic trees to lead them through stuff anyway. I've had some bugs & written some threads on electrical gremlins in the past ...

My interest is certainly peaked  All you'll need now is a Chademo or CCS charging system!

Re: Using FORscan to improve range

Hello everyone, I am a proud new owner of an FFE. I apologise if this is covered somewhere else. I did a search in the forum but didn't see anything. I have been doing a lot of research on what modifications a person can make with FORscan. There is a company that makes a module that plugs into the ...

none of your images work. If you need another way to post images, I've usedhttps://postimages.org/ with much success. That and unlike some image hosting, the images don't expire or go away after a while.
Thanks! Ill definitely be using this from now on!
