Re: Graphics/Decals anywhere?

JAchady does have some huge ones on his. It's neon green approximately 2' tall letters that say "Electric" down the side. There are also some smaller EV decals he put on. I'd take a picture for you but it looks like the mrs. has the FFE today. I'll ask him if he has some pictures he could forward me...

Re: Why You Should Get a Ford Focus Electric Now

I agree that the FFE is a good car. It feels good on the road and is fun to drive. But I'm surprised that no one has mentioned two important features that the Leaf now has but the FFE doesn't: a heat pump HVAC system and fast charging capability. The heat pump is an important improvement for winter...

Re: How do you find public charging stations?

http://www.plugshare.com is the best. Register so you can see individuals that offer their chargers for use. And so you can post your experiences with charging stations. http://www.chargepoint.com is another option. In order to use their stations, you will need a chargepoint card. Free, but you hav...

Re: FFE Arrived earlier than expected

Congratulations! The last 4 I've sold have come in at almost exactly 8 weeks. I think Ford is starting to get the process down now that they are seeing the demand is there! (I hope!!)

Re: I don't think ford wants to actually sell these cars.

I know of at least 8 in the Metro Detroit area (mine and my coworker's are two of those). This is based on ones I've seen driving around, posts on here, and posts in Ford's My Ford Mobile forum. Indeed we are in that lull between model years: Ford is in the midst of retooling the Michigan Assembly ...

Re: Thermal management when not plugged in....?

That makes much more sense, I guess the remote start option would be the best way to go about it then. Reflective sunshades, cracking the windows, parking in shade whenever possible. I have also seen trailer hitches installed on FFE's for bike racks, so perhaps plugging in at a 3rd party location an...

Re: Thermal management when not plugged in....?

I don't see a security issue with leaving the car running. With the remote start, the car still can not be driven away until you get in with the key and press start. As for the honk feature, it's not just the FFE it's any ford vehicle with the keyless system (I.E. my 2011 Ford Fiesta has the same fe...

Re: Tony's tips for new buyers of FFE

Tip #3 Once you've found a car start discussion on the deal in the middle of the month, but plan to close on the absolute last working day of the month (dont let the dealer know). Some people will tell you this is a myth - these people are either dealers or clueless. For informational purposes list...

Re: Tony's tips for new buyers of FFE

Tip #2: Expedite the negotiation process by calling up a couple of dealers and tell them that you're about to sign a contract for new lease or purchase at an out-of-state dealership but you wanted to just check if the local dealer had something in stock because he's closer to you etc. At this point...
