Re: Ford lease end options

I haven't heard of anybody being able to negotiate with Ford at all. There's a very high likelihood that after returned, your car will be sold at a wholesale auction, for far less than your residual. There must be some tax advantage for Ford to do this rather than sell it to the original buyer at ma...

Re: A charging problem Ford will not fix

I agree that you should hold Ford's feet to the fire until it is either fixed, or they have made it right in some other way (lemon law etc.)

It sounds to me like the HVB cooling system might not be working properly and the car stops charging to protect the battery from overheating.

Re: Is it best to run car to a low mileage before re-chargin

During the week my car sits at about 50-60% SOC most of the time. I drive to work, then plug into L2 and it charges to full. It may sit at 100% indicated SOC for hours then but I need it to run the cooling all day. I drive home then and let the car sit overnight. It sits in the shade and its usuall...

Re: Article criticizing Ford's approach to EVs

The author of the article seems to have a thinly veiled, very specific vision of how electrified vehicles should be used and marketed, and seems to have very little tolerance for representing a plug-in in any other manner. The website seems to be very focused on early adopters and 1st followers, and...

Re: Sync 3 update

The free trial period on my Focus Electric in WA (US) included all the Sirius services. The trial period on my C-Max Energi in Winnipeg included only radio. I pulled up the services panel prior to delivery and questioned why all the services weren't included, and the salesman said that the other ser...

Re: Sync 3 update

The maps in my 2015 C-Max Energi do very well in Winnipeg, but it is Snyc 2, so it has a different map architecture. To me the traffic issue sounds like it may be a Sirius issue rather than a Ford issue. Did you buy a subscription to Sirius Traffic? My Focus Electric in the US included some Sirius s...

Re: myFord Mobile

have not had that issue with iOS. Had the car under a week. Does the mobile application allow preconditioning when not plugged in or on WiFi? So far the remote start and My Go times do not seen to run AC while not plugged in. Go-times are only for when you are plugged in, but remote start works whe...

Re: Electric Focus range and budget

In the EV Stretcher leaderboard, any idea how people are topping 300 miles? Cruise control @ 25 mph for many, many miles. I've read that some people get their single trip mileage this high by leaving the car on, in ready to drive mode while charging. I'm not sure how long you can leave the car unat...

One advantage to the 2012 is that it should have the automatic wipers and the homelink visor
