Re: Stop Safely Now Warning

TO ALL FFE OWNERS WHO'VE SUFFERED THE "STOP SAFELY NOW" issue and most others who haven't. I am currently going through the SSN issue from hell. About 2 month ago I got the message, along with a half dozen more warnings, upon starting the car to head for work. The car had to be towed to the dealer. ...

Re: Most Life-time miles - Does anyone have 50,000 miles yet

My 2012 FFE now has just over 36,000 miles on it and i still love it! Zero cost of maintenance to date except for $1.98 for washer fluid 8-) I live in Wisconsin so my poor FFE spends a lot of time shivering and the range computer is confused all the time because my garage is fairly warm so when I ge...

Re: Charging at work

I haven't been on the forum for a while so I just saw your post. My employer purchased and installed a level 2 charger for my FFE. There are no policies and no restrictions. I've been using it for a year now and it supplies roughly 2/3 of my charges at no cost. Pretty nice!

Re: New FoFo Electric owner! -- questions

Hi all, I took delivery of a 2014 Focus Electric two days ago. I came from a fairly basic 2012 Focus ICE (manual transmission SE Sport model) so I'm enjoying all the extra amenities. I have noticed an oddity, however, and wonder if it's just my vehicle or if this trait is common to all Focus Electr...

Re: range question for current FFE owners

I'll be the contrary view relative to the Volt. I much prefer driving our Volt vs. our FFE, but my wife feels the same so I drive the FFE 95% of the time. The software in the Volt is rock solid while the FFE software is by far the worst of any car I've driven (with the exception of other Ford cars ...

Re: range question for current FFE owners

We are really interested in a 2nd EV. Currently own a Tesla Model S so am fairly familiar with range degradation issues (speed, winter) Test drove an FFE this past weekend and love the car. But it seems about 20 mile short on range compared to what we need. We were hoping for 80 summer and 60 winte...

Re: 2012 vs 2013 vs 2014 - model year changes

Not a whole lot, even the 2015 is the same (well it changes some sheetmetal and you can get it in red). I believe the earlier ones (2012) have the Homelink visor..that's about it. Ok thanks. Do any have rain sensing wipers? I thought I remembered reading a car review that mentioned them but don't f...

Re: Worried about cold temperatures?

I'm a new owner and didn't think you could charge an FFE on a Super Charger. You can?

Re: Winter conditions.

HI all, I'm a new member. I purchased a slightly used (8500 miles) 2012 about two weeks ago and so far absolutely love the car even in this unbelievable winter. Here in Wisconsin, since the 1st of December, we've had exactly fours days were the temp reached freezing. Most of the time we've been at l...
