How can I get more power at launch?

I'd like to know if there is a way to reprogram the controller so we can get a little more punch off the line. Anyone heard of doing this?
I drove a BMW i3 electric vehicle at the San Diego auto show. All I can say is WOW to the acceleration. It is way too expensive though.

Home Depot on line sells the 40 amp Leviton 9.6 KW charger for $1099 plus about $75 for an installation kit. It has a 25 foot charging cable and works great. My neighbor has a 2013 Leaf and they offered an upgrade of his portable 110 charger to 240 v level 2. It cost $300. Maybe Leaf will upgrade the FFE portable charger.
